PINOCCHIO DELL'ANNO
Vernante - May 26
This colorful festival celebrates everything Pinocchio. Vernante was the home of Attilio Mussino, the original illustrator of the Pinocchio books. 150 murals of scenes from the Pinocchio stories decorate the exteriors of houses and buildings throughout this charming town. In the central piazza is a monument dedicated to Pinocchio.

ANTICA FIERA DELLA CILIEGIA
Dogliani - May 27
Besides its famous Dolcetto wine, Dogliani is also known for the delicious cherries grown there. The streets near the Castle are filled with booths and stands selling local cherries, preserves, cherry juice drinks and a variety of sweets. In Piazza Don Delpodio you can sample a variety of typical dishes using cherries.

Peveragno - June 9-11
Peveragno is famous for its delicious strawberries.
Each June the town holds a huge celebration which includes
the crowning of Miss Strawberry. Festivities include concerts, markets, photo exhibits. The historic center fills with booths for sampling traditional strawberry products.

Murazzano's annual celebration of its famous cheese.

A walking gourmet meal through the beautiful
countryside surrounding Farigliano. Each course is enjoyed

PALIO DEI BORGHI
Fossano - June 23
This annual extravaganza commemorates Duke Carlo Emanuele I of Savoia's visit to Fossano in 1585 with his new bride, Catherine of Spain. Medieval costumes, parades, flag throwing contests and medieval music set the stage for the Palio race around Fossano's landmark castle, the Castello dei Principi d'Acaja.

NON SOLO ERBE
Sale San Giovanni - June 24
A celebration of the aromatic and medicinal herbs that grow wild in the town: lavendar, hissop, chamomile, yarrow, sage, coriander and fennel. This area is known for its production of high-quality, organic herbs. On Sunday the streets and alleyways of the old town become a market place filled with stands for exhibitions and vendors of herbs and related organic products.

The celebration of the Feast of the Virgin Mary is a
long tradition in the Monregalese. This event starts in the evening with concerts and traditional dancing in the piazzas.
The evening culminates with a spectacular fireworks display.

FERA D'LA MADÒNA
Vicoforte - early September
For centuries, the Feast of the Virgin Mary has drawn many pilgrams to the Santuario in Vicoforte. In the 1800's pilgrams starting bringing items with them to sell after the feast day. This tradition evolved into today's annual fair. Similar to a County Fair, the Fera d'la Madòna showcases livestock, horses, artiginal products
and of course, food and wine.

MOSTRA DEL FUNGO
Ceva - 3rd Weekdend in September
Ceva is known for its excellent porcini mushrooms and this week-long festival celebrates the local specialty. Music, traditional food, local wine and a regional mushroom market.
