Food and Wine are integral parts of Piemontese culture and Cuneo Province is a veritiable eno-gastronomic wonderland. Local products include white truffles, porcini mushrooms, hazelnuts and chestnuts; a myriad of prized Alpine cheeses like Castelmagno, Raschera and Murazzano; and some of Italy's best wines including Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and Dolcetto.
With such local bounty it seems only natural that the Slow Food movement was born here in Cuneo Province.
Piemonte is one of the most important wine producing regions in Italy and currently 54 different DOC and DOCG wines are made here.
From Villa Favolosa B&B you can follow the Wine Road over rolling hills and through charming towns and villages from the Langa Monregalese to the Bassa Langa. Visit towns like Barolo, La Morra and Monforte d'Alba and discover the picturesque beauty of the Langhe's wine-country. |
